PDF editor — fill, sign, annotate and redact

Fill PDF forms, add text, a signature or images, highlight, draw, black out private details, and rotate, reorder or delete pages. Free and private. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

What it does

Opens a PDF in your browser and lets you add things on top of it: typed text in a standard font, a signature or image, freehand drawing and highlights. If the PDF has form fields, you can fill them in the side panel and optionally lock (flatten) them. Page tools rotate, reorder and delete pages.

Real redaction

A black rectangle drawn over text in most PDF tools still leaves the text in the file, where it can be copied out. Here, every page with a redaction box is re-rendered as an image with the box burned in, so the hidden text is actually removed. The rest of the document keeps its selectable text.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser with JavaScript; the file never leaves your device, so it is safe for contracts, IDs and other private documents.

Can it change existing text in the PDF?

No. It adds content on top of a PDF and fills form fields; it does not rewrite text already in the document.

Which characters can I type?

Typed text uses the 14 standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier), which cover Western European letters, digits and common symbols.
